What to know before checking prices.
How does instant pricing work?
ShopInsure shows prices from participating insurers online as their results arrive. You can review a price while other companies are still responding. Each company decides whether it can price the home.
Pricing is the first step. Jenna reviews the actual coverage, deductibles, current price and remaining requirements before you buy.
Can I upload my current policy to shop my renewal?
Yes. Choose Upload your policy in the shopping conversation and add your declarations page or full policy as a PDF. Si reads coverage details for you to review, correct and choose to use. You still confirm the home, your new policy start date and any missing information before requesting prices.
When your renewal arrives, you can start a new price check and explore your options. Saving a document does not automatically shop your renewal or request agent review.
Where can I keep my insurance documents?
After signing in, open My insurance and choose My documents. You can save policies, renewal notices, inspection reports and other insurance paperwork with your account or a saved home, then download them when you need them.
The document library accepts PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 15 MB. The AI policy reader uses PDFs; storing a document and asking Si to read a policy are separate steps.
What information do I need?
Start with the Florida property address and how you use the home. Si helps gather the home details for you to check, including the roof year and covering. Say when you’re unsure so an unconfirmed detail can be reviewed.
Before requesting carrier prices, Si asks for your name, email, phone number and date of birth. You can see prices without creating an account, but the carrier request still needs that information.
Use the free home insurance quote checklistCan I shop for a home I’m buying or a rental property?
Yes. ShopInsure supports Florida homeowners (HO3) and rental-property (DP3) price requests, including homes you’re buying. Tell Si the actual use of the property. Eligibility and available companies depend on the home and each carrier’s requirements.
If you’re buying, give Jenna your closing date and lender’s deadline when you request review.
Does choosing a price start my insurance?
No. Choosing a result, saving it or sending a review request does not purchase a policy or start coverage. Jenna checks the carrier’s quote, explains the terms and helps with the application, payment and other steps required to buy.
